Tucson AZ was home when Gannon set off in his barely functional 1990 Ford Ranger. His passion for driving a stockcar came to light on Saturday nights. After receiving his high school diploma from Arizona College Prep, and attending a year of college---the decision was made. Destination: RACE CITY USA. His first job was at a golf course off of I-77 making below minimum wage. A few months later he landed his first job at Craftsman Truck Team, Green Light Racing. Everyone on the team, including Gannon, was under the age of 23 years old. To say there were some fun times, would be an understatement for sure. The team had to work twice as much, and twice as hard to get the same amount finished as the more experienced teams. On top of everything else, the team drove to every track in a 16-passenger van. It wasn't easy work, with pushing 12 to 16 hours each day, six days a week. "If it wasn't for Bobby putting up with me all that time, I'm not sure where I would be today", Says Gannon." The entire experience gave Gannon the chance of being where he truly wanted to be. Gannon also did a worthy stint with Ken Weaver in the ARCA Series.
In July of 2005 Gannon received an offer to jack for Jr. MotorSports. It was here that Gannon and his team won the Hooters Cup Pit Crew Challenge. He was also with Jr. MotorSports when the "maiden" race for the #88/U.S. NAVY ride was launched in the Busch Series. Gannon enjoyed the time spent at the new team, he soon called home. Each week brought a new and interesting challenge. He met great people and built friendships that will last forever.
Time moved on. Gannon was offered a Jackman position by the legendary Wood Brothers Racing, and he accepted the offer! On and off the track with Wood Brothers/JTG Racing proved to be great times! JTG Racing is where Gannon was noticed to have a shine for the marketing end of racing. He produced a marketing video for sponsors while producing his own videos for SpeedTV.com and The Gannon Hollywood Show. Gannon's videos proved to be amazingly popular with over 41,000 views per day!
RaceTalkRadio on the web grabbed hold of Gannon and now you can listen to the "Racing RockStar" on Wednesday nights. This year, Speed World magazine did a full spread layout of the up and coming "Young Gun". There are a lot of surprises down the turnpike for this Professional Over the Wall Jackman and new-style entertainer! So, buckle up and get ready as fun times are waiting!
